Megan Hickman, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised in the heartland of Kansas and Southern Colorado, is an accomplished attorney with a diverse background and a commitment to serving her community.
Megan is an alumna of Adams State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration/Advertising, showcasing her early interest in the dynamic intersection of business and law. Building on this foundation, she furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling from the same institution.
Taking the next step in her academic journey, Megan graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2010, earning a place on the Dean’s Honor Roll. During her time at law school, she distinguished herself as the Secretary of the Energy and Resources Law Student Association. Additionally, she actively participated in the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law.
Megan’s commitment to the legal field was evident during her time as a Licensed Legal Intern at the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office, gaining practical experience while completing her legal education.
Admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2010, Megan returned to northwest Oklahoma to embark on her private practice journey. Subsequently admitted to the Western District of Oklahoma in 2012, she dedicated five years to public service as a prosecutor for the Alfalfa County District Attorney’s Office before joining the esteemed firm of Riffel, Riffel & Benham. Currently, she proudly serves as a member of the Garfield County Bar Association.
